One of Group Portrait Maker’s distinctive features is the use of generative data models to render the group portraits in a user selected artistic style. Initially, watercolor painting styles will be utilized. Some water color styled renderings will have a pen and ink line quality as well. Several artists have agree to have their inventory of images used as a data source for training the transfer generative model. (Grove Oz Biz, LLC is currently in the process of obtaining the IPR to several additional artists. This website is password protected and any use of proprietary images is considered fair use during the non-commercial research period. Any owner of IPR who wants Grove to remove their art should request it be deleted – [email protected])

A note about the use of images as a data source for a generative data models: After a collection of copies of images are utilized as a training set for a data model, the recognizable images will be discarded. Under no circumstances will any recognizable extant image of an artist’s work appear anywhere on the GPM app. The data model will affect a “in the style of …” technique for the production of the final portrait.
In 2023 Grove Oz Biz joined the Society of Illustrators based in New York for the purpose of engaging in discussions about IPR and current threats to artist’s livelyhood. Grove OZ Biz has an internal policy of obtaining permission from any artist whose IPR will be used as a data source for commercial use.
